Christmas early in Ohio

We got to see my brother Rob and his wife Nichole for the first time in 1 1/2 years! Shelly loved Uncle Robbie and Aunt Nichole and received a beautiful Parisian outfit for Christmas from them. It is always nice to see my little bro (even though he is neither little nor young. lol)

Merry Christmas to everyone. I will try to post pics of Shelly's 3 Christmas celebrations. She is one loved and VERY SPOILED little girl who is a blessing to Brandon and I in so many ways.

Jingle bell time

This picture is me in my leapord print Columbia jacket :) I looked so cute going to the Highschool Boys Tiger Basketball Game Wednesday night. I cheered for the Tigers but mostly just wanted to go play, which means run around.

Then, today (Black Friday), we all went shopping and I wore my Jingle Bell shirt. I love to sing Christmas songs like Drummer Boy, Rudolph, Frosty, and of course, Jingle Bells. We just put up the tree tonight so our house is full of white lights and fun decorations.

Wanted to be like Mommy

She wanted to wear a scarf like Mommy. It was so cute.

Rudolph and Friends

Let's play Mommy!!

Time to decorate for Christmas though the Island of Misfit Toys theme is too fun for Shelly to just let those "decorations" sit on the mantle. She wants to "play toys" continously.

Growing and Growing

People who haven't seen Shelly in a month are all commenting on how tall she is getting. I don't know what happened but at her 2 year appointment she was 34 inches tall and in the 50th percentile. Now, she is over 36 inches, getting close to 37 in the last few months! Daddy thinks she might get his height :) She is very independent. It might take her 10 minutes to put on those socks, but, by golly, she will do it ON HER OWN. If you try to help she gets mad. She loves to read books to herself and makes up stories. I have to get a video on here of that. We are blessed by such a smart and beautiful girl.

Brandon and I had an adoption class in Indy yesterday and of course showed off her picture. Everyone says how cute she is so it's not just mommy! LOL We are done with our home study and approved. Yippee!!!!!! Now, we just have to finish the letter the expectant mom reads and we are "active" and officially just waiting for the call that we were chosen. Pray God works and we have a baby in our arms soon.

Passed my AFAA exam

Yes, I am a certified America and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) Primary Group Fitness Instructor. Talk about a long name! Just got my results today and had to post my news. It was a tough exam and I learned tons. Now, I can't wait for Giverny Fitness to open so I can teach 3 times a week :) I taught this AM and the girls were calling me Jillian from the Biggest Loser which is a compliment, right?

Fall Festival at Hilger's Market

Go to the right side of the page and look for" Links for Creighton family pictures" and click on Pictures in my Picasso albums to see all the pics from the festival. I think Shelly gets to go next weekend again with Nana Creighton. She loved it!

Shelly had so much fun. She loved being able to jump in the "castle" and had it all to herself at the end of the evening.

She loved all the animals and wasn't scared to ride the pony.

We also had the slide to ourselves. Shelly could climb up all by herself and loved going down.

Potty training?

yep, we have "sort of" started at times but nothing full-time. She had panties on tonight and she didn't mind peeing and pooping in them so I don't think we are quite ready yet. Any veterans out there feel free to comment and give suggestions but we are waiting for her to tell us she is ready and won't push before that.

Tiger homecoming

Shelly and Tristan can't get enough of each other. They have to hold hands and Tristan will "rearrange" his hand so it is right in Shelly's. It was so fun watching them at the football game. Before the game we went downtown to watch the parade.

They liked to attack Brandon and played in the grass by the courthouse while we waited for the parade to begin.

Shelly was held the entire parade. Too many LOUD horns and sirens for her!

We ate at Mad Anthony's with Aunt Tara after theparade. Yummy pizza :)

Here the cousins are. . . I love how close they are! All the pictures from that night are in the Picasso Albums link to the right.

Colts game

Brandon and I went to the new stadium and sat in the DePuy suite. It was fun though the Colts lost at the last second . . .

Mowing with Daddy

Shelly isn't afraid to mow with daddy. Well, her arm has to be pretty snug around his neck to feel safe, but still, it was the first time she did this. The mower is "Uncle John"s who lives down the street.

Playing in the rain

Well, it was rainy when we left for the grocery store today and guess who wanted to run around in it . . .. .

Shelly- princess to hill jack!

We have one crazy girl. She wore her princess crown and earrings with her PJ's that morning and that night she took her shirt off and put on her rainboots that are too big for her.

What a show off!
We did get a nice smile from her at the end :)
