Shrine Circus trip

Shelly loved the circus. Well, not the lion roaring 3 feet away from us in a cage before the show...nor the tiger walking around.

They had a fair in the basement before the actual show where you could ride animals and see the tigers and lion up close.

We made it a whole day/weekend and stayed overnight at the new Holiday Inn right across from the circus. Shelly LOVED swimming. I think we are going to have a hard time keeping her out of the water this summer.

We had dinner at Bandido's and our Shelly girl loves chips and salsa!

Back at the hotel singing nursery rhymes in bed with Daddy.

Chuck E. Cheese's

Yes, we finally made it. Shelly has seen this on TV and her and Daddy have talked about going for what seems like FOREVER! She was a little overwhelmed by the craziness of it all and isn't old enough for many of the games though she loves putting that token in the slot.

When we first got there we saw "Chuck" and she actually shook his hand but then was scared but didn't cry, just got that weird look on her face that told me "Get me away from that big mouse!".

The pizza was suprisedly not too bad either :)

This of course isn't Shelly with "Chuck". Wasn't going to try to get her to hug him but wanted you to see him...

And self portrait by Miss Shelly. She was close-up and was just pushing buttons. I think it turned out nice!

Big girl bed ...big girl

Yes, daddy finally put that princess bed together. I think he just liked the idea of her still in the crib. Now there is no denying she is growing up!

She loves to show off her bed and says it is "nice and cozy".

Shelly is doing great with staying in bed (my worry). First night up only once, second night not at all. She is getting to be such a big girl ... picking out which clothes she wants to wear, what she wants to eat, drink, which book to read... just crazy to me that my baby can tell me is she wants a cheeseburger or chicken nuggets at McDonalds! She is very strong willed like I've been told I was at her age. My parents always said they hoped I had a girl like me so I'd know what they had to go through. She is my joy, my hope, my peace. God has blessed us with her and we pray we have the opportunity to raise another. You should see Shelly with our neighbors baby. She wants to hold her, keeps that binky in, and always wants to go visit. Our neighbors are going to get sick of us!
