Catching up...

Well, I have been a bit tired lately (wonder why?) and have not been keeping this site up. Miss Shelly is loving preschool and just had her Christmas party today. Off for 2 weeks now! She hasn't missed a day of school yet and I think wishes she could go every day (only goes Monday/Tuesday mornings). She had her Christmas program last week and did a good job. It was fun watching them try to get the Pre-K 3 and 4 classes and the Kindergarten up on the stage at the same time!

We tried PeeWee basketball at the YMCA this winter but it was a no-go. Shelly didn't want to even go out there and shoot baskets after the first week. A bit rough and crazy for her.

This past weekend we went to Ohio to visit Papa and Nana Plaster and see the big Christmas production at their church. Papa took Shelly for an up close look at the donkey and the camels. Let's just say she wanted to see the camels "from afar". She did great sitting for over 1/2 of the programs before we took her to childcare. She loves Nana's peanut butter balls and wanted one last night instead of ice-cream.

Brandon and I, along with the rest of our families, have a hard time not spoiling her. I think this Christmas is going to be out-of-control with how many gifts she is getting. She helped me decorate the tree and likes to take the Island of Misfit Toys ornaments on and off the tree.

Exciting news that Shelly is going to be a little flower girl in my cousin Beth's wedding next June!! It will be her first wedding :) Baby C will be a little over a month old by then. Let's hope I can fit into a dress...LOL.

Peanut's progression....

I know I am blessed to have Doctors that allow me to have these ultrasounds to get me past the first few weeks of this miracle baby growing....I am 10 weeks tomorrow and still feel amazed this is happening. I don't have symptoms so that is tough but soon (2 or so weeks) I will be able to pick up the baby's heartbeat on the doppler which will be reassuring.

5 weeks 5 days gestational sac with yolk sac 10/1/09

Baby measuring 6 weeks, 6 days 10/8/09

Baby measuring 7 weeks, 3 days 10/13/09

Baby measuring 8 weeks, 3 days 10/20/09

Baby on 10/28/09- didn't take measurements but 9 weeks, 4 days along

So, you say, how many more of these will I have? Only time will tell. LOL . Please continue to keep us in your prayers

God has other plans...

Many of you know that Danielle is back with her first mommy as I tell Shelly. Things didn't work out and we miss her but feel peaceful and know that it was God's will for her to be in our lives even for only a short time. We will go back on the infant adoption list after a bit. We aren't quite ready to jump right back into things just yet. Shelly and I are in Ohio visiting my parents and Brandon will join us at some point this week. I still have to work remotely but Shelly will be busy with the zoo, park, swimming, etc!

1st trip to dentist

Shelly went to the dentist yesterday for her first cleaning. I was braced for some crying and clinging to me but no, she did awesome. She laid there holding my hand as I sat right next to her. We had to remind her a few times to open wider. She just stared up and was quiet as a mouse. I didn't have my phone with me so no pictures but BC took a few. I don't know if he can get those off his phone. Anyway, her report was good. All 20 teeth were there :) A few "watch spots" where there are deeper pits that are harder to clean. She got to pick out which princess toothbrush she wanted and the assistant even made her a hotdog doggie balloon while we waited for the dentist to come in. Pretty cool.
